Juan Carlos Yepes Alastre is an accomplished baseball professional with over 20 years of international experience as a player, coach, trainer, and sports development leader. A native of Venezuela, he brings elite-level knowledge in athlete development, performance training, and injury prevention.
As a professional player, Juan Carlos signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization in 1997, competing in the Venezuelan and Dominican Summer Leagues. His career also includes Venezuelan professional baseball with Águilas del Zulia, Spanish professional baseball, U.S. collegiate baseball (NJCAA and NAIA), and independent leagues in the United States.
As a coach and trainer, he has worked within the Seattle Mariners organization, including Spring Training in Peoria, Arizona, and has trained Major League players such as Luis Valbuena, Maicer Izturis, César Izturis, Miguel Rojas, Martín Prado, and Carlos González.
Juan Carlos also served as General Manager of Guatemalan Baseball under the Olympic Committee, leading national development programs and earning a Bronze Medal at the 2017 Central American Games. He has successfully placed athletes in U.S. universities and professional leagues.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Juan Carlos delivers a complete, disciplined approach to baseball and athlete development.
